Shelley's focus

Shelley Lowe is Counsel in our Greensboro, North Carolina office. Shelley’s practice focuses on the structuring, formation, organization and operation of private equity funds and their related management entities. Shelley advises funds in all stages of their operations, including preparing offering materials, drafting partnership, limited liability and other governing agreements, negotiating with investors and counseling fund managers on securities law and other regulatory matters and on general fund operations. Shelley also represents fund of funds in their investments in other private equity funds and co-investments alongside funds in underlying portfolio companies, including negotiating the governing agreements of the investment with the underlying fund manager.

Prior to joining the firm in October of 2011, Shelley worked at Fulbright & Jaworksi LLP in Houston, Texas, as an associate in the Corporate, Business and Banking practice group. Shelley received her law degree from Baylor University School of Law in August of 2009. Prior to law school, Shelley was a high school economics teacher in Katy, Texas for eight years. She graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1998, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Education.
