Neil's focus

“I feel that my experience on the business side with Foundry Capital and HealthCare Financial Partners has substantially helped my legal practice and my ability to provide clients with value-added and timely advice. Working on a high volume of investments, both as an investor and across the table from investors, was a great education in the priorities, key terms and nuances of these transactions and relationships. This experience has also helped me appreciate what clients need from attorneys and how our work can positively impact not only a given transaction but a client’s business in general.”

Neil Freeman is a partner in our New York office with a practice that is focused on private investment fund formation, management and operations, as well as associated transactional work, including seeding arrangements, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and similar transactions.

Prior to joining the firm in November 2001, Neil served as Senior Vice President at Foundry Capital, L.L.C., a financial services and advisory firm serving the media industry. Previously, he was Vice President, Portfolio Development Group with HealthCare Financial Partners, Inc., a senior and mezzanine finance company specializing in the healthcare sector that was acquired by Heller Financial, Inc. Neil also previously practiced corporate law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
